Open for Submissions

Your script deserves
a real shot.

Indy Streaming gives writers a new path from screenplay to screen, without needing the right agent, the right connection, or permission from the traditional gatekeepers.

Submit your work. Earn the chance to have your story filmed, put before a real audience, and ultimately produced.

Whether you're breaking in or you've been writing for years, if the story is great, we want YOUR TALENT.

Season 1's submission window closed Jul 29, 2026 — the next season will open for submissions soon.

A New Way In

Talent shouldn't need connections.

Great stories can come from anywhere. Great writers can be emerging, established, represented, unrepresented, or somewhere in between.

Indy Streaming creates another way forward: submit directly, have your work professionally evaluated, and let the strength of the story determine what happens next!

Open to Writers

New voice or seasoned professional. Indy is built for writers with serious work who want a serious opportunity!

See Your Story Come Alive

Selected scripts move beyond the page. Original teasers give audiences a chance to experience your story.

Let the Audience Speak

The audience watches, votes and backs the projects they want to see made. Winning stories move toward full production.

The Power Shifts

Now your audience gets a vote.

For too long, a handful of people have decided which stories get a chance. Indy Streaming changes the equation.

Selected projects are transformed into teasers and placed before Indy users. Viewers discover them, vote for their favorites and begin rooting for the stories they want to see come to life.

Your audience doesn't arrive after the movie is made. They help decide what gets made!

Where This Can Lead

Don't just write it.
See it made!

Indy Streaming isn't being built simply to discover talent and original scripts. It's being built to turn exceptional stories into original content audiences can actually watch.

Projects that earn audience support can move into full production and ultimately premiere on Indy Streaming, with select titles having the potential to reach audiences beyond the platform.

The screenplay is the beginning. The screen is the goal!

Before You Submit

Questions? Start here.

Who can submit to Indy Streaming?

Both emerging and experienced writers. You do not need an agent, manager, industry referral or previous produced credit to submit. At the same time, Indy Streaming is not intended only for first-time writers. Established and experienced screenwriters are equally welcome.

What matters is the work.

What types of scripts does Indy Streaming accept?

Indy Streaming accepts eligible feature-length screenplays for Movies, Series and Documentaries. Accepted genres, formats and other requirements may vary by submission season, so review the current season brief before submitting.

Scripts must meet the formatting and file requirements listed for that submission window. Only original, English-written stories will be accepted.

Do I need an agent or industry connection?

No. That's part of the point.

Indy Streaming was created to give writers a direct path to consideration. You do not need representation, a referral or an existing relationship with the entertainment industry to submit.

What do I receive after submitting?

Each eligible submission receives a professional, full-script coverage report evaluating key elements of the screenplay and providing useful feedback on the work.

The goal isn't simply to tell you whether a project advances. It's to give you something valuable that can help you understand the strengths of the script and where it may be improved.

How long does coverage take?

Coverage timing may vary depending on the volume of submissions received during each season and the time window given for submissions.

The expected turnaround for the current submission period will be posted with the season details, and you'll be notified when your coverage is ready and if you make it to the next step.

How are projects selected to become teasers?

Scripts that perform strongly in the initial evaluation can advance to deeper review by experienced industry readers.

Finalists are considered within the relevant genre and category, and selected projects move into teaser production.

Selection means something real: Indy is committing to bring part of your story to the screen.

Who produces the teaser?

Indy's production team will create an original teaser for your story by default. Creators who have the resources may also submit their own teaser, provided it meets Indy's requirements.

This ensures that every storyteller has the same opportunity to be seen, regardless of their resources or location, while creators with the means can bring their own vision directly to the audience.

What happens after my teaser is produced?

Your teaser is introduced to the Indy Streaming community alongside other selected projects.

Viewers watch the teasers, rank the stories they most want to see and help determine which projects advance toward full production.

Can I submit again if my script isn't selected?

Yes. A project that isn't selected today isn't necessarily finished.

Writers may be able to revise their screenplay using the feedback received and submit it again during a future eligible season. Each submission is considered independently and is subject to the applicable submission fee.

Ready?

The next great story has to come from somewhere.

It could come from an established screenwriter. It could come from a new voice nobody knows yet. It could come from you.

If you've written a story you believe deserves a real shot, we want to see it.
