Open for submissions

Submit your projects
and join the revolution!

Indy Streaming reads original screenplays from writers with no agent and no way in, films the best of them as teasers, and produces the ones the audience votes for. Get real coverage on your script — and a shot at seeing it made.

Test 1 is accepting submissions through Sep 8, 2026.

Why Indy Streaming

We want your talent — your story deserves to be told.

For All Writers

Whether it's your first script or your tenth, Indy Streaming welcomes writers at every stage. Our platform is built to give every story a fair shot.

Script Coverage

Every submission comes back with a written coverage report — scored across structure, character, dialogue and originality, with notes you can actually act on. Even a pass tells you something useful.

From Script to Screen

Scripts that clear our review are filmed as teasers and put in front of a real audience. Your story won't get lost in a pile — the most-backed ones go into production.

Bring Stories to Life

Indy Streaming exists to close the gap between a great script and a greenlit project. We're building the bridge between the writers who imagine and the teams who produce.

The journey

From script to screen

  1. Step 01

    Submit during an open season

Each season has a defined window and a single submission fee. You upload your screenplay, set your logline and pen name, and you're in. No agent, no referral, no invitation.

  2. Step 02

    Format check

We verify your script is in standard screenplay format and within the expected length before anything else happens. If something's off, you'll hear about it early enough to fix it — not after a rejection.

  3. Step 03

    Quality screen and your coverage

Your script is scored for craft — structure, character, dialogue, originality. This stage filters, it doesn't select. Whatever the outcome, you get a written coverage report with your scores and specific notes, so no submission is a dead end.

  4. Step 04

    Read by industry professionals

Scripts that come through the screen are read end to end by experienced industry readers. People decide — someone sits down with your whole script before any call is made on it.

  5. Step 05

    Selected — and filmed

Finalists are shortlisted in each genre, and every selected script goes into teaser production at our cost. Your story gets cast, shot and cut into a real piece of film.

  6. Step 06

    The audience decides

Your teaser goes live for the whole community to watch and vote on. When the season closes, the most-backed stories in each genre go into full production — and stream on this platform.

Community

Your story, backed by an audience — let them root for you.

Selected projects get a teaser and a place in front of the whole Indy Streaming community. Viewers watch, back the writers they believe in, and decide which stories get produced. This isn't a popularity badge on top of someone else's decision — the vote is the decision.

FAQs

What types of scripts does Indy Streaming accept?

Indy Streaming accepts feature-length screenplays and pilot scripts (TV drama, limited series, or comedy). Each submission season specifies the accepted genres and formats — check the current season's brief before submitting. Scripts must be in standard screenplay format (Courier 12pt, standard margins) and submitted as a PDF.

How long does it take to get coverage back?

Coverage is typically delivered within 2–4 weeks of the season's submission window closing. You'll receive an email notification when your coverage is ready. The turnaround can vary by season volume — each season page shows the expected delivery date.

What is included in the coverage report?

Your coverage report includes a synopsis, scored categories (premise, structure, character, dialogue, originality, and commercial viability), detailed notes for each category, and an overall assessment. Scripts that advance past the quality screen are additionally read in full by our industry readers, and that read is what determines selection.

How are scripts selected for production?

Scripts that clear the quality screen are read in full by experienced industry readers, and their read decides which ones are selected. Finalists are shortlisted within each genre, so you're judged against your own field rather than against every submission. Selected scripts are then produced as teasers and voted on by the audience — the most-backed stories in each genre go into full production. Selection is a genuine commitment to film your teaser; the final production slate is decided by the vote.

Can I submit the same script to multiple seasons?

Yes — you can resubmit a revised draft to a future season. Each submission is treated independently. Many writers use their coverage from one season to improve their script and submit a stronger draft the next time. The submission fee applies per submission regardless of prior submissions.
